The sudden loud noise of splashing had echoed through the heavy wooden patio doors.
Mark heard the chaos from his office and rushed out to the pool deck.
His face turned pale when he saw his wet baby crying on the ground.
Victoria immediately stepped forward and pointed her long red fingernail at Clara.
Victoria: She pushed him in!
Clara looked up from the ground in total shock and pure horror.
Clara: What? No! I jumped in to save him from drowning!
Victoria: You are lying! I saw you push the stroller right into the deep end!
Mark felt a wave of terrifying panic take over his entire mind.
He rushed over and grabbed baby Leo gently into his own arms.
Then he turned around and forcefully pushed Clara away from his child.
Clara fell hard onto the hard stone patio beside the blue water.
Her cheek hit the marble tile, leaving a red scrape on her face.
Clara: I didn't do it! I swear to God I didn't do it!
Victoria: Look at her, Mark! She is an unstable person who tried to kill your son!
Mark: Get away from my family right now!
Mark was trembling with anger as he held his soaking baby close.
He believed the horrible words coming out of his new wife's mouth.
Clara sat on the wet ground weeping uncontrollably as tears mixed with pool water.
She had risked her life to save the baby she cared for deeply.
Now she was being called a monster in the house she kept clean.
Victoria put her arms around Mark and began pretending to cry loudly.
Victoria: Call the police, Mark! She needs to go to prison forever!
Mark: Leave this house right now before I call the sheriff!
Clara struggled to stand up on her shaking legs as water dripped down.
She knew nobody inside that yard would listen to her desperate words now.
She turned around and slowly walked away toward the side side gate.
Victoria watched her leave with a cold and evil smile on her face.
She thought her plan to get rid of both the maid and baby worked.
