Mark spoke quickly into the phone while keeping a safe distance from Victoria.
Mark: I need emergency officers at the Miller estate immediately.
Dispatcher: Sir, what is your exact emergency today?
Mark: My stepmother just endangered my child inside our house!
Victoria: Hang up that phone right now, Mark!
Mark: Send squad cars right away!
He ended the call and placed the phone back into his dark jacket.
Tommy had stopped crying and was looking up at his father face.
Victoria tried to walk past Mark toward the master bedroom down the hall.
Mark stepped firmly in front of her to block her path entirely.
Mark: You are not going anywhere until the police arrive here.
Victoria: You are ruining this entire family name over a mistake!
Mark: You ruined this family the day you married my rich father.
Victoria: Your father loved me and wanted me to have everything!
Mark: He left a legal will that proved otherwise.
Within five minutes, loud police sirens sounded in the driveway outside.
The heavy front double doors of the mansion swung open with a bang.
Two uniformed American police officers rushed inside the bright foyer.
Their boots clicked loudly against the clean marble floor as they entered.
Officer Miller: Police department!
Mark: We are up here on the second floor balcony!
The officers ran quickly up the grand wooden stairs with fast steps.
They reached the upper landing with their hands resting near their belts.
Officer Miller: What is going on here, sir?
Mark: This woman just endangered my baby son on purpose.
Victoria: He is lying to you officers!
Officer Davis: Ma am, keep your hands where we can see them clearly.
Officer Davis stepped behind Victoria and grabbed both of her wrists firmly.
A sharp metallic click sounded as handcuffs were secured tightly behind her back.
