The anger inside Richard erupted as he looked at his wife's remorseless face. He grabbed his mobile phone from his grey suit jacket pocket, his knuckles turning white as he held the device. Victoria realized that her life of extreme wealth, private galas, and luxury status was coming to a sudden, violent end.
Victoria: Richard, no! Don't call the lawyer! Think about our reputation in Dallas!
Richard: You framed her! Call 911 right now!
Victoria: No! Please!
In her sudden panic, Victoria tried to rush toward Richard to grab his phone out of his hand. But as she lunged forward, her high heel slipped on the slick marble tile. She lost her footing completely and fell backward, hitting the floor with a loud body impact thud. She lay on the cold ground in total shock, her silk dress messy and her hair falling out of its neat style near the framed American flag decor.
Richard: Guards, stand over her. Do not let her leave this foyer until the police arrive.
Security Guard: Yes, Mr. Sterling.
Richard turned his back on his weeping wife and walked over to Sarah. His face softened completely, replaced by genuine shame and deep regret for how the poor maid had been treated in his home.
Richard: Sarah, I am so deeply sorry for what happened here today. I should have checked the cameras before letting anyone accuse you.
Sarah: Thank you for looking at the footage, Mr. Sterling. Most people in your position wouldn't have bothered.
Richard: You are an honest person, Sarah. My family business needs honest people. As of today, you are fired from your cleaning duties.
Sarah's heart dropped for a second, but Richard immediately held up his hand and smiled gently.
Richard: Because I am hiring you as the main office manager at my corporate headquarters. The starting salary is double what you make here, plus full health insurance for you and your family.
Sarah: Mr. Sterling... I don't know what to say! That would save my mother's home from foreclosure!
Richard: You earned it by being a person of integrity. And my legal team will make sure Victoria pays you a massive financial settlement for false accusation and emotional distress.
Within twenty minutes, police cars arrived at the Dallas mansion, sirens flashing bright red and blue lights across the grand driveway. Victoria was escorted out of the front doors in handcuffs, her face covered in shame as neighbors watched from across the street. Sarah picked up her leather duffel bag, held her head up high, and stepped out into the warm Texas sunshine, knowing that truth and justice had finally set her free.
