By late afternoon, two legal advisors arrived at the heavy gates.
Mr. Harrison met them inside the grand library on the first floor.
Victoria sat on a plush velvet sofa, glaring at everyone present.
Leo sat quietly in the corner, drawing pictures on white paper.
Lawyer: We have reviewed all the bank records and the will.
Victoria: And you found that I am the rightful owner, correct?
Lawyer: No, ma'am. The estate goes entirely to Leo.
Victoria stood up quickly, knocking over a crystal glass of water.
The water spilled across the costly rug beneath her leather shoes.
She did not care about the mess she had just made.
Victoria: I am filing a lawsuit against this whole operation!
Businessman: You can try, but the judge will reject your claim.
Victoria: I have rights as Arthur's living companion!
Lawyer: You were hired as a house manager, nothing more.
The lawyer pulled out a copy of her original work contract.
He pointed to the official signature at the bottom of the page.
Victoria closed her eyes in deep frustration and shook her head.
Lawyer: Your employment was officially terminated upon Arthur's death.
Victoria: You cannot throw me out onto the street like this!
Businessman: You were ready to throw a child out an hour ago.
Leo looked up from his drawing and raised his small hand.
He did not want people shouting inside the big house.
Leo: Can everyone please stop yelling at each other?
Businessman: We are sorry, Leo. We will be quiet now.
Victoria: Don't tell me what to do, you little brat!
Businessman: Watch your tone when speaking to the home owner.
Victoria knew she was losing control over the entire situation fast.
She pulled her phone from her pocket to call her lawyer.
She stepped toward the window to make her private call alone.
Victoria: My attorney will bring this entire house down tomorrow!
Lawyer: Your attorney already spoke to us and advised surrender.
Victoria dropped her phone onto the soft rug in total shock.
She realized no lawyer would fight a clear DNA match result.
The truth was set in stone and could not be changed.
Businessman: You have until tomorrow morning to pack your bags.
Victoria: This is an absolute nightmare that I cannot escape!
She stomped out of the library, leaving the men alone.
Leo looked at Mr. Harrison with a soft, gentle smile.
He finally felt safe inside the warm walls of the home.
