Mark walked his wife over to the comfortable living room couch.
He helped her sit down gently and handed her a tall glass of water.
Then he walked over to the front hallway security system panel.
He tapped the screen to review the internal camera footage from earlier.
Evelyn watched him from across the room with a nervous look.
Her calm, arrogant attitude began to crack just a little bit.
Evelyn: What are you doing with the security system, Mark?
Mark: I am watching what happened twenty minutes ago, Mom.
The high-definition video clearly showed the entire terrible incident.
Maya was walking out of the kitchen holding the cake box carefully.
Evelyn deliberately stuck her foot out and pushed Maya's arm hard.
The cake crashed onto the floor as Maya fell forward on her hands.
Evelyn then stood over her, pointing a finger and shouting orders.
Mark closed his eyes for a short second as anger flared up.
He turned around to face his mother with cold determination.

Mark: The video camera recorded everything you did and said!
Evelyn turned completely pale as she realized she was caught clearly.
Evelyn: You are spying on your own mother inside your home?
Mark: I put cameras in to keep our family safe from harm!
Mark: And today, the biggest threat to my family was you!
Evelyn: Mark, I am your mother! You cannot talk to me like this!
Mark: Pack your bags! You are leaving today and never coming back!
Evelyn gasped loudly and placed a trembling hand over her mouth.
Evelyn: Excuse me?! You are throwing your mother out on the street?
Mark: You have one hour to pack all your clothes upstairs.
Evelyn: Over a stupid cake and a cheap little girl?
Mark: Do not insult my wife ever again in my presence!
Evelyn: I raised you after your father died without any help!
Mark: And I paid off your debt and cared for you completely!
Mark: But you used my kindness to torment the woman I love.
Maya looked up from the sofa with tears in her big brown eyes.
She had suffered in silence for months to protect Mark's feelings.
Seeing her husband stand up for her brought her immense emotional relief.
Maya: Mark... are you sure you want her to go today?
Mark: Yes, Maya. She crossed a line that can never be uncrossed.
Evelyn: Where am I supposed to go at this hour, Mark?
Mark: You can stay at a hotel using your own money from now on.
Evelyn: You gave me that credit card for monthly living expenses!
Mark: That credit card is being canceled in ten minutes from now.
Evelyn realized her son was completely serious about his harsh decision.

She stomped her foot on the floor like an angry, stubborn child.
