The Power of a Prenup

A Bitter Wife Tried Keeping His Hidden Child Away

Victoria was pacing back and forth across the marble hallway with her arms crossed tight.

Two security guards from the front gate were standing awkwardly near the front entrance.

"Throw that maid and her bastard child out onto the street right now!" Victoria commanded the guards.

The guards looked at each other nervously, knowing Mark was the actual owner of the security firm.

"Nobody is putting anyone out of this house today," Mark said, stepping into the center hall.

"You have no idea what you're doing, Mark!" Victoria screamed, stepping right up to his face.

"If my father hears about this secret child, he will pull all funding from your firm!" Victoria threatened.

"Your entire estate depends on our family business alliance," Victoria reminded him harshly.

"You will be broke by next week if you don't throw them out right now!" she added.

Mark almost laughed at the desperation shining through her glossy makeup.

"You think money is the only thing keeping me tied to you, Victoria?" Mark asked calmly.

"Our prenup states very clearly what happens in cases of fraud and violence," Mark stated coldly.

Victoria's face turned pale as her hands began to shake at her sides.

"You hid a biological heir from me during our marriage contract negotiations," Mark explained.

"Your father paid off the hospital staff to keep Lily's records hidden from public files," Mark added.

"That is corporate fraud and human rights violation wrapped into one clear lawsuit," Mark noted.

"You have no proof of any of that!" Victoria snapped, her voice breaking slightly.

"I have the certified records right inside my desk drawer, Victoria," Mark revealed.

"Sarah kept every single bank transfer paper your father sent to Lily's small town," Mark said.

"Every single check was signed by your family's personal estate manager," Mark pointed out.

Victoria took a quick step back as the weight of his words sank in.

"You wouldn't ruin our family name over a maid's child," Victoria whispered angrily.

"She is not just a child, she is my daughter Bella," Mark corrected her sternly.

"And you raised a weapon against her inside my own home today," Mark added.

"I am filing for divorce before the courthouse closes this evening," Mark declared.

"And you have one hour to pack your bags and leave this property forever," Mark added.

Victoria gasped, looking around the massive home she had controlled for three years.

"You are making the biggest mistake of your life!" Victoria yelled as she stomped toward the stairs.

Mark watched her walk away without feeling a single shred of regret in his heart.

He turned back toward his office to check on the two people who actually needed him.
