The next afternoon, the sun shone brightly over the quiet residential street in front of Hannah's apartment building as neighbors gathered out on their porches. Jax, Rocco, and Sarah stood near the entrance alongside a smartly dressed attorney who held a blue folder filled with official legal documents.
Attorney Davis: The court has officially thrown out every single eviction notice filed by Vance Management across all thirty units in this block.
Hannah: Oh my goodness... is it really over, Mr. Davis? We are safe here?
Attorney Davis: You are completely safe, Hannah. In fact, the state has seized Vance's assets to pay full restitution to all the victimized families.
Hannah covered her mouth in absolute relief, tears of pure happiness welling in her eyes as she looked up at the towering bikers beside her.
Hannah: I do not know how to thank you, Jax. You saved our home and protected our entire neighborhood from those dangerous criminals.
Jax: You do not need to thank us, Hannah. Dave looked out for us for fifteen years, and now it is our turn to look out for you.
Lily came running out through the front glass doors of the apartment building, her small pink dress fluttering in the warm summer breeze.
Lily: Jax! Look at my knee! Sarah put a bandage with cool stars on it!
Jax chuckled softly, kneeling down on the pavement just as he had done in the garage, reaching out to high-five the smiling young girl.
Jax: That looks like a medal of honor to me, sweetheart. How does it feel today?
Lily: It does not hurt at all anymore! Did you get my envelope back from those mean guys?
Jax pulled a small crisp paper envelope from his vest pocket and handed it over to Lily with a wide, proud smile on his face.
Jax: Not only did we get your forty dollars back, but the police officer added a little extra for your bravery under pressure.
Lily opened the envelope, her eyes widening in total disbelief as she saw two crisp fifty-dollar bills tucked safely inside the clean paper pocket.
Lily: Wow! One hundred dollars?! Mom, look! We can buy groceries and treat ourselves to ice cream tonight!
Hannah: Jax, this is too much... you have already done so much for us today!
Jax: Consider it a gift from the Iron Skull Club to our favorite young lady. You two never have to worry about rent or safety again.
Rocco: And if anyone ever tries to bother you in this neighborhood again, you just call the garage and we will be here in two minutes flat.
The neighbors on the porch erupted into applause, cheering for the crew who had risked their lives to bring peace back to their modest street.
Hannah: You men are true heroes. I know Dave is looking down from heaven right now, smiling so bright seeing how you cared for us.
Jax: He trained us well, Hannah. Family is not just about blood; it is about who stands beside you when the world gets cold and tough.
Lily reached out, wrapping her small arms tightly around Jax's neck in a warm, tight hug that made the rugged old biker tear up softy.
Lily: Thank you, Mr. Jax. You are the best friend anyone could ever ask for!
Jax: Any time, little one. Any time at all.
Jax stood up, clapping Rocco on the shoulder as the roar of neighborhood applause washed over them in the bright midday heat of Texas.
