The Ashford Mansion glittered beneath crystal chandeliers as guests gathered for an elegant evening reception.

Servers quietly moved across the marble foyer while wealthy visitors enjoyed the celebration.

Near the center of the room, a young maid named Elena knelt on the polished floor, tears streaming down her face after accidentally dropping a serving tray.

The lady of the house, Victoria Ashford, stepped forward holding a pair of silver scissors.
